Sidcor Flea Market is located at the Lung Center compound and is open on Sundays, from 6:00am to 1:00pm. Sidcor was originally in Cubao, and is considered as the pioneer in the flea market industry. It has been in existence longer than the popular Salcedo and Legaspi flea markets. People who have been patronizing Sidcor since it first started in its original location in Cubao still continue to go back, along with other people who live within Quezon City.
Sidcor Flea Market is a haven for people who are looking for hard-to-find products from all over the Philippines. It is a hub of which goods from the different regions in the country can be found. There is an abundance of home-cooked food and fresh produce that is available. Food (cooked or uncooked), clothes, live animals (for cooking or for adopting as pets), potted plants are available and even real estate brokers have stalls there. One must be prepared to find items as exotic as live frogs for cooking being sold, as well as other delicacies that might appeal to the appetite.
The best time to go would be at around 7-8am, or anytime while the sun is not yet completely up, or else be prepared to walk around feeling the sweat trickling down from the forehead. Also, the place tends to get crowded at a certain hour in the morning because its loyal patrons start to pour in, making parking and taking a leisurely stroll quite a challenge.
Sidcor Flea Market sets itself apart from others like the Salcedo and Legaspi Flea Markets by having more of a down-to-earth ambiance to it. The Salcedo and Legaspi Markets are without a doubt more upscale compared to the Sidcor Flea Market. Strolling around the place is quite like going to your local palengke without having to deal with the noise and smell of such place.
It’s always good to know that there are places such as Sidcor that continue to support local products. Filipino ingenuity and skill in business is showcased, and it is because of markets such as these that local businesses continue to thrive.

Any idea about the prices of carnivorous plants in Sidcor? Is it open in weekdays?
